  1. I think he is a typical reporter. He has been around the capital region for decades and therefore has many sources. Of course he does it for the ratings. He has radio show on ESPN as well as the top rated local news station. That equals money. A lot of money. The more followers the more money. That being said I truly like him. He pays a lot of attention to local sports and I think he does a very good job. I enjoy listening to his radio show.
  2. I think we have seen this story before (basketball). Start out strong. Have high expectations only to fold badly late. Season not over just yet but it sure looks like it's going that way.
  3. I truly think there should be a home and home. But I posted this b4 and I think it would be acceptable as well (too me). Siena stance has been, the game is for the community. That's why they won't come to the Sefcu. Well this will solve it: Sign a 4 year deal. Every year the game is at the Times Union Center. In return Albany gets 80 percent of the revenue. Siena will keep 20 percent to pay for operational costs. If it's really about the community Siena would sign this asap. The game stays and Siena losses no money. When they say NO, and we all know they will, they can never again state it's all about the community. They get the home field advantage and nobody is closed out and in return we get all the money . All kidding aside given what they are arguing, it's perfect .
  4. Good for him. Hopefully plays well. Will be interesting what Brown does with the remaining scholarships. Maybe use 1 on a grad transfer (if we can get one) and then save one for next year?
  5. Any word on Anthony Mack? Dont see much about him. Now that would be a heck of a signing .
  6. Melkisedek Moreaux looks like he would be a nice addition. Looks to be a terrific slasher with terrific athleticism. Still hoping for a 5th year senior or 2 to balance out the classes.
  7. Looks like a good get. Appears a little soft but I love the fact that he is 6"11 and shot 32 percent from 3 and 74 percent from the free throw line. Hopefully the coaching staff continues to develop his 3 point shooting. It would really allow us to stretch the floor. Also started above a love the fact he will be a 22 year old sophomore.
  8. Siena fans were ripping us for a minor title IX issue and now this happens. I LOVE IT!!! I truly despise those arrogant pompous delusional jerks over there.
  9. There is obviously a lot of what the heck just happened but what does everyone think about Will Brown in terms of all of this? I believe (not fact checked) we have players transfer at a MUCH higher clip then the average program. Normally it's role players but this time it's centerpieces. We can't continue to lose several players a year and that starts with the coach.
  10. They were roommates for 2 years. Moved completely away from each other in year 3. Came from a relative of one of them. But of course they could be wrong.
  11. I heard they cremo and Nichols did not get along. Like at all. So I'm a little surprised both are leaving. But like many have said, cant cry about it. Just need to move on.
  12. I am as well. As long as we bring in impact players. How many scholarships do we have left now ? 3?
  13. Not great depending who they are. Hopefully no freshman. Would really like to keep that core together.
  14. Hopefully works out. Was looking for someone a little different. We have a ton of minutes possibly available for big guys. Really hoping for impact players due to the minutes available.
  15. Froling is going pro. But I do looking forward to seeing who we get in this late period. I wish there was more information on whom we are targeting.
  16. Interesting. .. wonder if we will try again to get him.
  17. Saw we just offered Kawanise Wilkins. A JUCO with 3 years left. I have seen this guy mentioned before and believe he would be a good get. He is listed at 6'6, shoots well and has good athleticism. He was on the radar of some very good schools before he got hurt. Also plays pretty good Defense and rebounds as well.
  18. I try to be an honest poster as well as a fan. And God knows I have posted some negative things on here (Campbell's Offense) due to the extremely high expectations on this team this year. However on a positive note, let's not act like Siena (pure dumpster fire). We won 20+games again and have at least 5 freshman next year that look pretty damn good. We have Cremo and hopefully Nichols back. We will be ok and have a chance to be a very good next year. At the Midmajor level that's all we can ask.
  19. The expense is the tough part. If u win (which we never do) then u need to continue to pay.
  20. Please go on the road if so. Stop spending money on these tournaments. We are 0-3 playing in these. Because even the players don't care...fans certainly don't care. I would say play if you have young players who could use the experience...they had no freshman on the court this year...at all. HARD PASS! Thats not even WB main reasoning for playing in these though. He always goes the route of, its another opportunity for the seniors to get another game. I hope from what he saw this season he decides to just end it. From what I was told it's a consecutive postseason thing. They want to keep that going. Apparently it's important to the university/Basketball team. They even mention it during the intro on the big screen before each game.
  21. It makes perfect sense and yet it's not being done as far as I can tell. The big question is WHY NOT ?????????????????????????????
  22. Basketball. Definitely Basketball.
  23. I must admit. I had really high hopes for Benson. But so far I'm less then impressed. I really hope that changes.
  24. https://www.albany.edu/news/releases/2006/1106/sefcu_partnership.shtml This is what I found. Should be up.
  25. Your right. I'm just praying they are planning a major renovation (with the extra money). But I don't think they are. Also aren't the name rights up? Are they taking bids for that?
