In general, the idea is to keep things UA related. Especially since there are about a billion places to discuss the NFL and only a few to discuss UAlbany. If I had to come here every day and read Jets fans and Patriots fans arguing I would just flip the "off" switch on this whole thing.

 

That said, it's the super bowl and we're probably going to talk about it. Luckily for me, the excitement of the end of the game made me forget that depressing Nationwide commercial.

 

Also, BDSH has rightfully complained about other off-topic stuff here like politics which I whole heartedly agree with.

Why not make an off-topic sub-forum like virtually every other forum I've ever been on where all the other 'garbage' goes? That way people like BDSH can not get in a tizzy by never going to that section.

I can talk NFL other places, yes, but I can't talk NFL with THESE people in those other places. That's the part that BDSH is missing. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head telling them, "You MUST open the NE Patriots thread and read it!"...just ignore it and move on to a thread that interests you.
