jimbo
I'm gonna say 5, but hope I'm wrong…..
Dane96
4 wins. We are so young...and so undersized. This team is about three years (including this year) away from making very real noise.
Phoenix
I think we'll hit 4 or 5 wins. I went with the 3-4 option so that ending up with 5 would make me feel better.
Eli
I'm going with the following, for S&G's: @ UB - L vs URI - W @ JMU - L vs Duquesne - W @ HC - W vs Maine - W vs Nova - L @ Richmond - L @ Delaware - W @ UNH - L @ SB - W Edited September 4, 2015 by Ilko
dslyank
Being optimistic, I went 7-8. We went from one win in 2013 to 7 in 2014. With another year of caa type recruiting under his belt; I believe Gattuso has this team already around the corner. I know the schedule may be tougher than last year; but unlike some, I do not think we are still 2-3 years away. We should at least match last years win total. Beside the 7 wins in 2014, there were @ least 2-3 more games that we could have won. And now we have more caa type talent, including 3 qb's that beat out the qb that was suppose to make Fiacchi look like a water boy {not MY assessment}.
Phoenix
Worth noting that there's one less game on this year's schedule than last year's. The extra game was a non-conference game..which we won. So while 7 wins put us at 7-5 last year..7 wins this year means we only drop 4. uofalbany
4 wins. We are so young...and so undersized. This team is about three years (including this year) away from making very real noise. Are we still that undersized? I would think that we would be making a bit of improvement there. jimbo
I think we are most undersized on the D-Line. Both coach and the UB forum folks make the point that their O-Line is the 14th largest in FBS and outweighs ours by about 50 LBs per man. Quickness and technique will only get you so far, especially with inferior depth. You often see FCS schools stick with an FBS school until late in the 2nd half when they get worn down. Our O-Line has decent size. The LBs are a tad small. The D-Backs are getting better. To be honest I have been quite surprised that a former D-Lineman Head Coach has not bagged one or two bigger interior linemen over 2 signing classes. Maybe he just prefers smaller and more athletic to bigger and less athletic.
