This is getting ridiculous.  So that also means the Yale basketball team who were named Ivy champs without a tourney will not go to NCAA's?  This virus does not affect the young folks that badly if they do get it.  If worried about crowds, eliminate those and folks and families can watch on TV.  If concerned kids could bring it home to grandparents, keep them in team dorms till after season.  The seniors are getting screwed.

Ed.  Individual schools can decide to play to finish out winter sports so Yale BB can go to tourney if desired.

Do we get a forfeit win over #2 Yale?

Just read the Ivy League will ask for a extra year of eligibilty for those Spring sports athletes affected.  In some conferences I could see guys and gals coming back but this is the Ivy's.  These upcoming grads have big time jobs lined up already or med and law school in the Fall.

Just absolutely stupid, really.   the flu has killed over 30,000 in the US this season and we have somewhere around 100 from this virus.  What the hell is wrong with people?????

NCAA just ( rather earlier) closed all sporting events, from all sports, to the public. SUNY close. World is going insane. I too don't buy the hype all that much.

"The NCAA continues to assess the impact of COVID-19 in consultation with public health officials and our COVID-19 advisory panel," NCAA president Mark Emmert said in a statement. "Based on their advice and my discussions with the NCAA Board of Governors, I have made the decision to conduct our upcoming championship events, including the Division I men's and women's basketball tournaments, with only essential staff and limited family attendance.

So what happens to you guys who have season tickets? Is UA giving refunds? Or what?
