Are they playing more team basketball without Perry?

Just imagine how scary this team would be if they continue to play/improve like they are now; AND had Perry too. NOT SURE I buy into addition by subtraction hypotheses?? Perry was a heck of a player and I still think he could/did help this team, when healthy.🤔

True, but there’s no real way to test our views. Maybe the team growth aspect was hampered by too much reliance on one player. Perhaps the team growth would have continued if Perry was still playing. In either case, I would rather have team growth WITH Perry than without. I agree that he’s a darn good player. Sometimes the loss of a top player makes everyone else step up or change the overall flow. Better BB minds than I would have to weigh in on that.

Perry was clearly the best player on the floor for them. No question he’d help, but I think the ball movement has improved a ton. Also the shots are now falling which I thought eventually would as their shooting % couldn’t be that bad

There have been other changes beside Perry leaving the lineup.

Early in the season, the freshmen were playing a lot more minutes. In the last 10 games or so, the staff has relied much more on the veterans for minutes - Doles and Champion in particular.  Horton is a senior, Cerruti is a fifth-year senior and Champion in a sixth-year senior. That's a lot of experience and having the ball in their hands have meant less turnovers and better shots and Doles outside shooting opens up more space on offense.
