  1. I'm thinking young, high ceiling guard, that can red shirt and develop. Clark will be a Sr., Anderson would have one year left, Healey could grad transfer after this season (I thought I read somewhere).
  2. What does the team target with the last ship? Best athlete available? Young 3? Guard: Clark, Healey, Anderson, Rizzuto Swing: deSousa, Jerotic, Hutcheson Big: Lulka, Hank, Lauderdale, French, Doherty I gotta say, that's a pretty solid looking, exciting lineup
  3. 100% agree. Still a great learning experience for him though.
  4. Its become standard for underclassman that feel they have a shot to get drafted eventually. Attend now to get official work with NBA scouts. It gets them on the radar and let's them know exactly what NBA teams feel they have to work on. I doubt either will be drafted and both will return, but they will know exactly what they need to do this coming year. That said, I think Huerter assumed he would return, but this exercise raised his stock enough to enter the draft, so you never know.
  5. Thanks for the research. I didn't look beyond the tweet I posted.
  6. When did Wilson say that? He mentioned NJCAA D2 level. Either way, didn't know anything about him. Just saw the tweet.
  7. I am confident in the guard situation the team has now. I think Clark will make another jump and have a huge senior year, either starting or from the bench, but I know a lot of people on this board are convinced we need another point guard. If the team goes after one, I really hope it is a 4-year kid that can grow with the team. That said, anyone hear anything about this kid? https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/kevin-smith-ct Brent Wilson is tweeting about him, and he went to South Kent like Malachi de Sousa. Would have 2-years remaining.
  8. Looks like the NYS Contract Reporter released bid for this today: https://www.nyscr.ny.gov/business/adsPubView.cfm?ID=71EA9688-1E94-4F28-BDEF-9BF9A33B60DA
  9. Saw this on TV AE board... https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/04/sports/ncaa-final-four-graduate-transfers.html
  10. Mack would do very well at this level, but probably a stretch to land him. He would also have to sit a year after using a waiver to play immediately at Miami.
  11. Probably all speculation, but I saw this on the AE board... https://twitter.com/backthapack/status/1109700367338491904
  12. As a student we went to games just to root for 3's as a student won a free pie for every 3 hit.
  13. I like the grad transfer rule. Get a degree, then transfer. Don't get a degree, honor your contract (free school in exchange for playing a sport) or be forced to sit a year. Do what's best for you. Kids that walk on are allowed to transfer without sitting a year (like Flory) as they didn't have a contract: they didn't receive a contract with the benefit of free school. I'm curious, and I don't know the rule. Someone clarify for me if you know: If the 3 Australians graduate in 3 years, after redshirting, could they theoretically transfer after next season then have 2 years of eligibility at their new school? Something tells me that Cam would be a hot commodity after next season with 2 years of eligibility left. If this is going to become more and more prevalent, and I'm Will Brown, I'm recruiting heavily the highest level prospects that live in NYS and come from families that would qualify for the NYS free tuition and convince them to walk-on. Create a mid-major one and done program. Guys that would come in to the league as an instant POY candidate in the AE, but might sit in year 1 at a Duke. Then transfer up to wherever they want to go. If their freshman year doesn't work out they can always stay for year 2, get free tuition again, then transfer.
  14. My seats are in the same section as well, I have 4 yet I only attended half the games last year. Don't want to lose my seats either, but I'm not at all sure I'm going to renew.
  15. Are you sure? His twitter seems to say that he will be choosing someone soon. https://twitter.com/__clutchins/status/1109935751175831552
  16. How do we convince Noah Hutchins to choose UA? Seems like he would be a perfect fit.
  17. Me three. I think I was the last perfect bracket in this pool. I lasted all the way until late the first night LOL. I was top 2 after day 2. Now I am just trying to stay out of the basement. It's crazy how quick this contest can change.
  18. I deleted most of my comments in the thread. It got out of hand. I just wrote a little "sorry to seem them go" farewell type message, which was replied to with "he sucks and isn't a D1 player anyway" so it devolved into an argument. Not sure why it always has to be negative, especially when the kid is leaving and its over anyway. I never said don't post negativity, in fact one of the deleted posts said that they should be able to take it, as they are adults, it just seems overblown for a relatively small community, on a public site, that I know for a fact the players read, and I am confident that recruits check out when looking at schools. No rainbows needed in every post, but there is a time and place for constructive criticism vs. what reads as hate from anonymity. The constant negativity and trolling kills forums. It's why I no longer bother to even read the Football forum 99% of the time, and makes me not want to read or participate in the discussion in the basketball forum anymore (but Im too addicted to leave). I know that for at least a few BPF members, its why they are no longer active on this site.
  19. So we now have 2 ships open with Flory and Brooks transferring (mentioned in another thread, and on Verbal Commits), so that explains a bunch of the offers going out. Anyone know what happened to Nathan Fromm? He looked great, supposedly committed to UA last year, then ended up back in JUCO for another year. Maybe he didn't graduate and was ineligible? His verbal commits page shows no offers at this time. I thought he was shooting guard, but they VC now shows him as a SF
  20. Not at all unexpected, but disappointing. I thought Brooks could play a major part, and maybe even help with the PG situation. JUCO players historically have taken a year to develop. He was undersized, but that hasn't always mattered as much in the AE. I was really loving the #domore attitude of Flory. I guess with injuries, combined with the 5 freshman starters, he didn't see enough playing time in his future to justify staying so far away from home. It wouldn't surprise me to see him land at a school at a similar level to the AE, but closer to home. North Dakota maybe?
  21. Want to make real change on the title ix or on anything else? Speak with the larger corporate sponsors/partners that support the program. Their pressure would be the fastest way to make change.
