For you gambling types like Haggy, the cuse is a 24 point favorite according to the line today NY post.

I was thinking that 24 poiints was a bit generous.

Today in the Post the line is listed at 22 and a half. (Action on UA.)

My preferred site won't give me a line until 12PM and won't have over/unders until 5PM.

The season just won't feel like it has arrived until that point spread pops up.

I'm not sure why but I'm really excited about the game tonight. I know there is a very very small chance we can win but it's just gonna be fun to see the new players and be able to watch on ESPNU instead of the crappy feed our Dane Zone provides.

I can't wait for 9pm to get here already!

UGHHHH...how much longer? Who knows maybe by 9:20 we'll be wishing to be in the off season again but I've been waiting for a long time to see UA back in action. The scrimmage only got me pumped more.

I don't really know how we'll fare today but one of these years we'll knock a team like Cuse off.....maybe today is the day!

Even if we are getting hammered early in the game it will be fun to watch the boys out there playing again and see some of the new talent. If it gets out of hand maybe we can see the entire roster of active players get a chance to play in the dome.

That would be AMAZING. Won't happen though. I remember the past couple years with Duke and Kansas, I really thought we might be able to pull off an upset. These top teams are just so talented. Most of their bench players would start on our team. I just hope we can cover the spread.

You're a bummer dude.

Hopefully Brown doesn't have the same attitude and perspective.

We put in a great game and we can take it.

It'll take 40 minutes of intensity.

If you believe, and are willing to put in the effort, it can be done.

At most of the D1 level, you should feel/think that you can beat anyone, as a player or coach. If you don't, DII is a better place for those individuals.

Also, I am certain syracuse is NOT at the same level, as Duke and Kansas were when we played them.

ESPN Insider partners with a couple of different sites to run a simulation of all NCAA games. I think they run the game through about 1K simulations to come up with their prediction.....FWIW, not much at this point since there is no data to run the sim off of...

Final score - 84-61 Syracuse

Chance of UA winning 6.2%

High scorers - Harris with 11 Onuaku with 14

Again, just something interesting to look at as we wait....
