Tickets to Siena game

Recommended Posts

"Our alumni and our fanbase annually let me know that it's time to play somewhere other than the Times Union Center," UAlbany athletic director

Lee McElroy said this past week

Telling quote as it is obvious that he has heard from a lot of alumni and it is obvious until we stop buying tickets to this game and pregame party nothing is going to change.

My opinion has been formed on this topic after years of beating this dead horse...what I posted on the Siena board.

You owe us nothing...we owe you nothing!

- One game a year alternating SEFCU/TUC

- You keep all the proceeds from the TUC, we get everything from SEFCU. You don't give us any allotment nor do you pay us anything, we treat you the same. Put the game on TW3 and those that can't get into SEFCU can watch it...enough of the *ITCHING about people being locked out...TO FREAKING BAD! In the SEFCU years you can bring in another home game and bank another 6k worth of fans/$$$.

- If not good enough..cancel it. Like many of you said, neither party owes the other anything...don't want to do a true home and home...cancel it. I've made my feelings to McElroy known and will do so again, if the next contract looks anything like this one he should be relieved of his duties for dereliction of duties. Who is the 200lb gorilla in the CD/Athletic Dept? Your AD has bent him over backwards enough.

Cancel it or true home and home...the fans that can't get in can watch it on TW3 or do a viewing party at the Siena gym and make some more coin off of that. If you can go to UVM and you can go to Maine, you can drive over to the SEFCU.

Is there a reason all these sections have no tickets ? Are they bagging the arena ?

http://www.ticketmas...04&minorcatid=7

No bags for our game, but if we beat then we can assure that there will be bags for all their remaining games. :D

Obviously ticket master isn't going to show as available the crappy seats allocated to the Albany box office, the seats held back for LCC students or the seats already sold for their "superbowl"

After the pain of last year's game I decided to take a year off. I check scores and summaries and have enjoyed it so far. Very excited. If we go to the tournament - I'll be there.

As long as our coach tells the paper saying 'this is just another game' I can't respect him. They make us play in their arena, they make us sit in the corners with Stevie Wonder site lines, we have to look at their turdy signs and logos and the logos of their McRivals, they stole our dog mascot out of papal guilt over the whole Indian boys/syphillis scandal, their fat old Albany fans with their fat old wives sit at mid-court with nothing but disdain for UA and see us all as public university socialists, and then we go out an blow 19 point leads to them. And Coach Brown says...its a great rivalry but really its just another game.

I want to be the assistant bench coach next year just for this game. Please start a campaign to give me that honor as my years wane.

Two weeks ago, Brian sent an email that he had 4 tickets in section 103 for $26, and others in 123-126, then last night he told me he had twelve tickets left. So that's the entire allotment for which UA gets credit. Any more money you spend will go to Loudonville.

For those who are interested, there is 1 ticket left through UA for the game. I just bought 6 of the last 7. Anything going on before the game? Is everyone going to the women's game?

bob87 can use the ticket! :)

LOL.

No thanks.

I ased Brain as well if he had sold out our allotment at the game last night. If I had changed my mind I very easlily could have bought tickets last night.

Even if they win, I'll be more disappointed that I did not make the Seattle game.

If money and vacation time were umlimited, I would go to every other game on the schedule (home and away) before I would go to another away game at Loudonville. :D

It is just another game..another D1 game that we play. And CB has to tow the line of the AD if he wants to keep his job right? Even if he and the staff don't like the deal (like many fans) they have nothing to do with the deal... this is Albany.. it's all political. As Bob87 said the other day, hopefully now that we have our stadium (& money for it) we as a University can stop being pressured by the 'community' to have this game or if we do have it, at least it can be at the SEFCU every other year.

Did anyone notice that the article by Tim Wilkin in the TU about the Siena coach being on the hot seat was taken down. There were a lot of comments but now it has gone missing. I guess the TU is concerned that UA crushing Siena will be the end to the current coach.

They took the blog post down? Wow censorship.

“We want to win this game for the University, for our alums, for our students, for our fans, that's why we want to win this game,” said Brown.

Based on that quotation I think it's clear that Coach Brown gets it. If you want him to say something like "yeah, I hate those mother f*ckers" then you might be waiting for a while. Siena's obviously still a very very big rival..but it's just not the same (heated) as it was decades ago. I think a lot of current students and recent alumni would just as rather beat the likes of Stony Brook, Binghamton and Vermont.
