Junior films look good. Solid hands. Good possession receiver. His QB in this film is a beast. Vad Lee. He's a QB at Georgia Tech now.

More on NJ OLB Naiquan Thomas (Offered). Rutgers involved:

 

RHODE ISLAND LIKES THOMAS: Naiquan Thomas became Dwight Morrow’s all-time leading rusher this season, and colleges are taking notice.

The University of Rhode Island offered Thomas a scholarship earlier this month, his first college offer. But the Maroon Raiders don’t expect it to be the last for the 6-foot, 205-pound senior running back and linebacker.

"He’s got an offer from Rhode Island and now several schools are coming into the picture," Dwight Morrow coach Barry Harris said. "I’m extremely happy for him, he’s worked hard."

Thomas is also drawing interest from Rutgers – the Scarlet Knights visited with the Thomas family Monday – and Albany and Wagner.

Yes. Apparently we already have two 2-star recruits.

 

That might not mean much in the long run, but it's certainly a change from the level we used to recruit.

 

We also have a lot of scholarships to give out. I would suspect we have at least 7-10 full rides with the rest getting split up.

I have a High School buddy who played his college ball at University of Virginia and now is a HS principal/Coach @ a rival HS to Oakton which is where Downer (qb commit from VA) played. My friend is in utter schock that Downer didnt sign with an FBS school as he is that good. He believes that he was offered to be a walk on at UVA but should be a scholarship kid

 

Does anyone know if that all state RB Dillion Romain is back??

 

Also, remember we have a transfer from Colgate at QB also looking to play this year. Meeks breathing down the starters neck...this is gonna be a great period for UA football athlete wise. Competition is going to be fierce at every position. That may not be enough to beat James Madison this year but we will in a year or two.

Downer is raw talent. This is his first year even playing QB.
