Coach Brown

The other factor, and it's one of those things you don't realize until you leave, but the Capital District is one of the best places in the country to raise a family. Property values are reasonable as are taxes (for NY).

Schools are great and $275k a year with a state pension and benefits goes a very very long way.

Anyone hear of an assistant leaving? Following from the AE board thru hoopdirt led to this job opening description

http://albany.interv...=38350&CNTRNO=0

They posted Brent's position like this a few yrs ago. He had already been promoted to Assistant but UA had to officially post it after the season I think. Maybe this is the same thing for Jon?

Can't see how you'd made an argument that it's even a lateral move. A bottom half job in a conference that's no better than the America East.

Haven't seen Coach Brown's name mentioned in connection with it..but I wouldn't be surprised to see some level of mutual interest with the Hofstra opening.

I love the stability our school shows; it's one of the reasons we have been so successfull in so many sports in such a short time.

As our stature grows (hopefully with CNSE still attached) our academic and athletic profile will grow, and this school will be considered a fine destination for coaches and athletes alike.

This schools pays well at our level...McElroy is doing a fine job running a program. Certainly would have liked to get the football stadium off the ground earlier but it's hard to argue with the results of the last decade...
