Agree with Haggy...once again, the play calling was absolutely atrocious. How has this guy not figured it out yet? It's been a WHOLE YEAR. He is as predictable as Sporano and Schottenheimer were for the Jets (for my fellow Jets fans). It's not hard to game plan against Albany's offense.

That being said...they were COMPLETELY and UTTERLY going through the motions the first half. Ford must have lit into them at half time because they played MUCH better in the 2nd half. That punt was BAD though, REAL bad. We had the ball at like the 40 after a HUGE defensive stop. Once the fair catch is called, UAlbany players need to GET AWAY FROM THE BALL! Stupid, stupid, stupid. We were ROLLING on two consecutive drives at that point and probably would have tied the game and really set the building 'on fire'. That killed all of our momentum and then the wheels just fell off the wagon after that with the kick return for a TD, etc.

Also, their defense kept us in the game with some bad penalties in crucial moments.

I'm sad that Ford didn't win a single game in the house he built. Like, actually sad.

Hopefully we have some finalists for the job and hopefully the entire staff gets overhauled. We need better coaching.

Hopefully we get more kids of his caliber playing next year (I don't know who all the redshirts are) and start to develop something special.

We were just out matched this year...our kids aren't on the same level as the rest of the CAA. That includes IQ, ability, etc.

It'll get better. Then again, can't get much worse than this year.

Although, we did cost ourselves like 3-4 wins with mistakes at the end of games.

Nice .tribute to Coach Ford after the game. Nice to see so many fans stay after the game. Just a great guy. Just think of all the DIII players he recruited and all he could promise was a chance to continue playing football and get a good education. Not much to offer but he recruited some GREAT players---THANKS COACH FORD!!!

I still can't figure out how Fiacchi, when in the pocket, never seems to be able to see a defensive player running directly at him.

Anyone notice unh's touchdown after the botched punt was scored with several UA defenders still running on the field. This was right after a time out where we stopped them from the two on first down. Why are we changing personnel on second down, with the other team in a hurry up. unh also had a touchdown in the first half (which I agree we were only going through the motion of playing), when our defense was NOT set. This is not the first time this year that the opponent has made big plays while our defense was unsettled. BAD COACHING. Ford needs to take the whole staff with him when he leaves [except perhaps Aaron Smith who is listed as a receiver coach but gets into both the O & D after nearly every play with both praise and admonishment when needed.]

Ford has done an awesome & perhaps historic job with his "coaching factory" through the years; but this group has LET HIM DOWN. They simply should not have let him go out 1 - 10 (probably 1 - 11). Granted the CAA has some really good teams and some quality athletes, but there were some beatable teams and winnable games and we absolutely should HAVE won ALL the out of conference games.

Oh, we noticed. I think the reason we called the timeout after first down was because we only had 10 guys on the field also.

Agreed with all of the last posts. We lost a BUNCH of games this year by shooting ourselves in the foot with lackadasical play or coaching.

We could have won vs Rhode Island, could have won vs Central Conn., could have won at Delaware, could have won vs Maine, and came back nicely only to blow it against UNH.
