Our win over Yale..and on the road no less..is looking better and better. They have an ESPN RPI of 58. Better than Pitt, Syracuse, Miami and Murray State.

At this moment we (118) are ranked higher then Belmont (122) in RPI and Ken Pom ranking so we should still be okay with that upset.

That was an amazing basketball game. Huge shot for Belmont to win at the end.

 

Slightly off-topic but basketball-wise Belmont has been a program I've hoped we can emulate since in some ways we have.

 

They went D1 about five years before we did.

Had a lot of success in the lower ranked Atlantic Sun Conference

Moved up to the better Ohio Valley Conference and have obviously maintained their success

Kept one head coach through the whole process (Rick Byrd)

Lead the nation in academic all-americans

Involved in one of the best cross-town rivalries at the mid-major level

Iona eats it in the MAAC finals. Manhattan with an RPI about 40 spots lower then us or SBU is in. Should help the AE.

Also, Yale lost at Dartmouth...so they are in a one game playoff with Harvard. We want a Yale win (both teams have a ridiculously inflated RPI, but at least we beat Yale).

Summit League..in the S. Dakota/N.Dakota game on now we should be rooting for N.Dakota since S. Dakota is ranked higher than us. S. is projected as a 14 like us.

North Dakota state is pretty good. They were in the tourney last year. I think they'd get the same seed as South Dakota would get if they won.

South is 92 North is 113 in espn rpi. We are 119.
