Yup, season is slipping fast.  Nine missed free throws.  Allowed 50% from three.  Sorry J. Beagle, your a nice kid but at 6'10", you need to play defense, zero fouls tonight.  Tells me your not aggressive or physical on the defensive end.  Possibly explains lack of interest in the portal last season.  Higher teams wanted a banger and lane clogger which he is not.  

And look at the job the ladies are doing.  Played only 7 tonight and beat a solid Maine squad to go 17-2.  Unfortunately if this keeps up, coach Mullen may be bye-bye after the season.  Of course coach Killings may be bye-bye for another reason.

Not the first time, we have seen a post similar to this.  Brutally right to the point of our MBB problems.

Jonathan Beage has been in a four-game funk ... I have been left wondering:

• What was Killings thought process in not starting Jonathan
• Did something happen between him and Killings and/or one of the assistants?
• Did something happen between him and one or more of his teammates?

I did not watch the stream of last night's game as I attended the WBB game against Maine .... yes, I agree Coach Mullen time with us may come to the end of this season.

I don’t know if it’s the reason, but how many times in recent has Beagle gone down with a lower leg injury? I can recall 3. Maybe he is really struggling and is going easier than usual.

Last nights game alone shouldn’t change anyone’s opinion of this team.  A road loss to a team that is probably about where we are, lower half of the conference.  
 

I hope Beagle is being hampered by injury.  If not, he’s not in a good place.  That said a quiet 14 and 12 (w 6 missed FT’s).

Team played better defense yesterday really, the offense just didn't get in any flow. It feels like that much of the team considers always going for the steal good defense, and they are getting a ton of them, but might be over committing on the attempts which if they miss is leaving someone wide open for an easy shot or layup. I love the aggression, but without solid rotations and good backup, it makes them look worse than they are. This almost always comes down to positioning of the bigs. It's like we have some strong individual defenders, but no team defense. Coaching can fix that.
