Congrats Siena

McCafferty has done a terrific job over there. You could see last night coming from the MAAC tourney final last year and they should be heavy favorites next year as well. A dream season for them. I would think they have to be a 14 seed at worst, but should be 13.

Even though I wish it was us for the third year in a row, congrats to the Saints. Great for this area that they can have a vested interest in March Madness for the third straight year. Like sarge said, it's only a matter of time now til both teams get in the same year.

And with only Tay Fisher graduating, you'd have to imagine they'll be at least this good for another year or two. They have a bright future. If they can snag a 13 seed instead of a 14, I think they've got a solid chance to steal a first round game. Bracketology currently (as of 3/10) has the 4 seeds being Indiana, Notre Dame, Purdue, and Stanford (whom they already beat).

Congrats to Siena.

I agree with GDG-- They are going to be VERY VERY good over the next two years. I think we are going to have our hands full with them next year.

This (Siena) is a team built to win a first round game over the next three years (including this).

They will be a seasoned team next year while we will be very very young. Not to mention they have real good, young talent. In our case to bad the class that would be juniors this upcoming year turned out to be kind of a dud. I'm glad last years class and this years class look very very strong but we will be very young.

Yes, congrats to Siena. That team finally lived up to the hype of its fans.

Just one little wrinkle. Siena could have been even better this year if one player had decided to remain loyal to the team. Of course, I'm speaking of Jack McClinton, who yesterday was named to the First Team of the ACC. Many Siena fans derided his decision to abandon Siena and the MAAC for the University of Miami and the ACC in preparation for a possible career with the NBA. Many fans over on the Siena dumped on him and his decision. They said he wouldn't amount to anything and would do nothing but ride the bench on an inferior ACC team. As the Saints prepare for the first round of the NCAA's, I wonder how many fans over there wished that he were still playing with his original college.

In any case, I wish the Saints well in their next game. I hope they represent the Capital District effectively. It's nice to see two Albany-area teams make it to the Big Dance so recently.

Are we even playing them next year. I still wouldn't play them unless the dollars (or games) were split equally as even NJIT gets.

After all even going for their first maac championship in a while they still can't outdraw the Albany- sienna game.

BTW, congratulations to the sienna players. You deserve a classier fan base than the one you got.
