  1. I JUST FOUND THE SHOTS WE TOOK WERE VERY, VERY POOR. I JUST COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS WATCHING. I'M NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON BUT IT IS NOT GOOD.
  2. As a 15 year season ticket holder, I think promos like this are great!!! The sooner we fill SEFCU with season ticket holders, the sooner we will get a new scoreboard.
  3. Bottom Line---500 students can't support a school, private or public, and the State is NOT going to take on the cost of a single degree school when it doesn't support the SUNY/CUNY systems. I think all the benefits are in favor of Albany Law--more social opportunities, athletics, possible lower costs , etc. As a retired Town & Village Justice after 25 years, I think it is hard for many to recoup the cost of the degree. Maybe the education could be the same but the cost less as an affiliate of UAlbany.
  4. John Fallon Field was not a waste of money! It is a tremendous recruiting tool with sectionals, regionals and state championships being held there. It brings hundreds of people on campus. It s a beautiful facility. As a newby in lacrosse there is noting worse than watching it on a football field!!!! The 1 - 1.5 million for the lacrosse and field hockey facilities were a positive investment. As UAlbany alums we should support all teams and facilities.
  5. Good Luck to David. My niece is a recently tenured professor at Oakland University but I think the med school is on a different site. It is a great school and great choice.
  6. This will be a great game--classic offense against a great defense. Tough draw but what the heck, if you win you are on our way-----------
  7. llko---you didn't need to select history. Physics might have been more useful. Kidding---I agree a minor is a little outdated in todays world. However, I do think a major, whatever it may be, is enhanced by a strong liberal arts background. Communications are very important in every job and liberal arts helps develop those communication skills. At 26 you should already have a BS - MS and 5 years of work experience.
  8. What a great run! To win three in a row is fantastic!! Question attendance of 622---also yesterdays 2700. Disappointed in Sarah Royals not making All-Tournament team after tying the tournament record in assists. I think they should have 1 MVP and five All-Tournament Team members(total 6).
  9. The season is almost over and we still have not defended the three----giving up more than three 3's per game =s p--- poor defense!!! Too many guys looking for the other to get the rebound---not a good effort. With SB losing and us winning out, could have had the 2nd seed. I guess Coach Brown wants to do it the hard way.
  10. Vermont is a very veteran team with very good length and athleticism. We went inside the whole first half without a decent shot. Second half we kicked out--good move--but couldn't hit the barn door. I have never seen so many shots that didn't hit the rim. Terrible night but the guys played hard to the end.
  11. One positive at UNH--Dallas and Michael Rowley are progressing--good stats.
  12. Not sure we need another pharmacy school in New York. My understanding there are no jobs in New York and pharmacy graduates are going out of State to find jobs. This should be researched before we spend 10 million to educate students for other states.
  13. I liked Dallas and Michael Rowley last night. They both looked under control against pressure, rebounded well and didn't force the offense---great future. Puk and Sam both get good position in the low/medium post but we don't have anyone who knows how to feed the post. They either don't try or they telegraph the pass. Been a problem for several years----
  14. dslyank is correct on UMass Lowell--two conference losses by 14 to Vermont early and last night AT Stony Brook by 5. Game was on America East Network(which is great). Played most of the game without Wilams who killed s--ha a great game plan by pressuring SB guards so they couldn't get ball to their bigs
  15. Our Savior New American ranked 9th in last USA TODAY top 25 Boys HS. I think there might be another Diallo on that team.
  16. You can't show much if you play 3 minutes. You have 3 coaches for every player. If YOU can't get them to work in practice YOU have a real problem!!
  17. Nice .tribute to Coach Ford after the game. Nice to see so many fans stay after the game. Just a great guy. Just think of all the DIII players he recruited and all he could promise was a chance to continue playing football and get a good education. Not much to offer but he recruited some GREAT players---THANKS COACH FORD!!!
  18. Troy Record has it right. If you go back far enough when the Washington Avenue Armory was Siena's home court, I believe the home team alternated between the schools. Like the TUC, the Armory was not on Siena's campus. Wilkins is wrong--there is no reason why it shouldn't be a non-ticket package game(both schools could benefit from the dollars) and alternate it as a home game.
  19. Siena has three quality Frosh, we just had more quality unselfish players and the coaching staff did a super job keeping fresh legs on the court. I think Siena tired resulting in missed free throws and 3's. Guard play was very good--D.J, Peter and Anders. Great team victory.
  20. I have friends with UA season tickets in front of me and behind me that do not attend the Siena game because of the poor seats. They can see the game better on TV(if it is televised this year). Last night(Tuesday) Marissa Jacques(sp?) said 7,000 tickets had been sold. I think attendance will continue to slide as long as the Indians(whoops--Saints) continue to treat UA as minor leaguers.
  21. JUST DO IT! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN ASK PERMISSION. IT IS A STUDENT EVENT. JUST DO IT. YES THE LEADERS WILL GET CALLED IN BUT AFTER IT IS OVER WHAT CAN THEY DO. JUST DO IT!!! HEY, YOU ONLY HAVE 4 YEARS TO HAVE FUN THAT YOU CAN REMEMBER FOREVER!!
  22. Extremely athletic group. I really liked Dallas. I'm really curious why everyone is suggesting we start three smalls and two bigs instead of three bigs and two smalls since we have more bigs and most of the bigs can shoot from outside. Really liked the defensive aggressiveness of the new players.
  23. With New Hampshire and Maine coming in attendance could be fine BUT, weather will definitely be a factor. Just a comment on the atmosphere at Homecoming---the Football Alumni tent was busy, the Alumni buffet was overwhelmed, the 1844 Tent was real cool, all of the regulars tailgating well after the purple/gold--black/white scrimmage was really great. You didn't experience that feeling 50 years ago---IT WAS GREAT---what do you think? Knowing Coach Ford we will have a shot at both New Hampshire & Maine!!
  24. I read the last few posts to my wife and we both chuckled--her comment was KISS--Keep It Simple Stupid--. UA--UKnow---
