  1. I'm sure anyone rooting for a team in the AE tournament will be disappointed if they don't win it. But if we don't and get an NIT bid, I will certainly be happy. Being in a one bid conference, and seeing March maddness for many years, a lot of strange things can and do happen. This season is already a big success in my eyes and I won't change my opinion on that, regardless of the short term future. I'll be at the Pub friday night, hope to see a lot of other fans.
  2. I hope we get a great crowd for senior night at the Vermont game to honor Jerrad, K-ZO, Levi and Lu. It should be an emotional night.
  3. We played SU at he Pepsi, and this can always be done. B9j2j6s is on the mark. Let's fill up the RAAC. Once in a lifetime surely hasn't obsoleted the place. Half of our home games are during breaks, where few students are attending. Our average attendance continues to progress. At the current rate, the renovations will provide the additional seating, before we'll actually need it.
  4. I encourage everyone to watch the game at Across the Street Pub. I expect a notification for Varsity Club members will be forthcoming soon. I believe the Varsity Club will be sponsoring some food and of course all fans are also encouraged to join the Varsity Club. The game will be on several TVs and also working to get iton the big projection screen in the back.
  5. Again, I encourage all of you to write a letter of rebuttal, if ou feel it was incorrect. Posting them here is fine, but the TU subscribers should also receive them.
  6. That was pretty unbelievable. I can't imagine anyone saying this. I guess we need to inundate the TU with positive letter about Will. They do publish letters each week in the sports section. I think they are always in on Sunday, but I'm not sure about other days. Using his logic the tallest player is the best? I'm not sure this guy knows anything about sports at all.
  7. every win a new all-time div 1 record. This is fun!
  8. k-zo 17 7-11 from ft line Brent played. connelly played some i think had 4 pts.
  9. Nice win - 87-73. Nice long ride home. K-zo career high.
  10. Those who get ESPNU, Yocums team is on tonight. I think at 7PM.
  11. I'm sure coach Brown would rather win handily, but one of the knocks before this season was we couldn't win the close games. After last night, we're 4-1 in the close ones.
  12. There is no standard classification system for concussions. Four of the leading researchers in head injuries maintain their own classification system. The symptoms of each degree of concussion are often very similar, and one can be confused when accessing a head injury. Concussions can be divided into five grades, 0 thru 4. Grade 0 results when the head is struck or moved rapidly. It is characterized by a post injury headache and difficulty with concentration. The athlete may not notice any other symptoms. Grade 1 concussions occur in the same manner but the athlete may appear stunned or dazed. There is no loss of consciousness (LOC), and sensory difficulties clear in less than one minute. Grade 1 concussions are the typical “I got my bell rung” description from the athlete. Grade 2 concussions are characterized by headache, cloudy senses lasting longer than one minute, and no LOC. The athlete may have other symptoms including, tinnitus, amnesia, irritability, confusion, or dizziness. One, all or none of these symptoms could be present. Grade 3 concussions are characterized by LOC of less than one minute, the athlete will not be comatose, and exhibit the same symptoms as a grade 2 concussion. Grade 4 concussions are characterized by LOC of greater than one minute. The athlete will not be comatose, and will also exhibit the symptoms of the grade 2 and 3 concussions. Management of concussions is grade dependant, grade 0 concussions will miss less time than grade 3. Athletes with grade 0 or 1 concussions can be allowed to participate when the sensorium clears completely and the athlete is completely asymptomatic. It is prudent to observe the athlete for at least 10 to 20 minutes before allowing them to return to play. One should repeat the neuro-motor exam prior to return to play to ensure that all symptoms have cleared.
  13. We survived. Brent may be out a week with concussion? I did't hear first half. When did that happen?
  14. I'm on the case. I'm trying to get something organized. Either on campus or at another local establishment. I'll keep the board posted.
  15. I was thinking of getting a group together to watch it on Direct TV. Time Warner does not carry ESPNU. Are there any people interested. Does the campus have direct TV? If they did maybe we could all meet on campus to watch it?
  16. Obviously, I'm happy about the win, but it is a little embarrassing that our coach has to get on the mic to tel our fans to act responsibly. I would also like to have some cheers and chants which are a little more cerebral. I went to the games in Florida and I really enjoy how their fans and pep bands are in syncronization with their songs and chants. It's really great. It's something we should aspire to. I hope in time we'll get there. I'm chalking this up to "growing pains". The rowdies have to take the lead on this. They can show the way for the other students. I hope any students, still in the area, will be at the Vermont game.
  17. Kind of interesting Missouri doesn't have a shot clock in H.S. basketball. I guess there are only a few states left where they don't use one.
  18. For the Referee's 3 signs 1. GOOD CALL 2. BAD CALL 3. YOU STINK or YOU"RE BLIND I also thought that eye charts would be good after a bad call. Make sure there's no gold writing, it's impossible to see.
  19. Thanks for the update. I see the crew practicing on the Hudson quite a bit. I haven't made a race.
  20. I just want you to wait until it's finalized, there's a long way to go.
  21. Dane96, why do you even start these threads? Let's win the league title and then see where we are. There's a lot of work to be done before that can be realized. At least half of your original come backs to yourself were true. Let's enjoy the season and see where the chips fall.
  22. You are 2 for 2 on signs. What's next?
  23. The game at Albany coincided with some state exams, so no school kids could come to the UA home game. Oops.
