Casey Stadium Turf

Dug thru the stadium construction thread, it took two weeks from the first day they rolled out the turf to when they started the rubber-pellet infill, then a little more for striping, logos and numbers. This isn’t like a new stadium that has to build a base, drainage, etc .

The Fieldturf website says it’s even possible, depending on conditions, to just put a new rug on top of the old one, saving about $150 K. If you want to.

Looks like the PE building is full speed ahead 70 million.  I assume that will move the current gym out of Broadview?

off topic, but I am curious about the planned 200 bed student housing complex that I saw mentioned at the end of the powerpoint. Where would they build that?

Wait..70 million to build a brand new one? Thats a bougie gym.  Also, i LOVE the full purple sideline..huge fan.

I like the colors and such but can we stop with UAlbany? Just go to Albany already. No one calls our partners URichmond, UStony Brook or UBinghamton (in basketball), etc. Otherwise it's nice.

just saying, it is Stony Brook University and Binghamton University... do not see the UAlbany label going any place as long as "UA-UKNOW" continues to live on

Well, there is UMass and UConn. When they started UAlbany it was supposed to be an "informal nickname" (would be useful in a headline so you know it's not Albany High, the Patroons, the River Rats etc.) but I think it's way overused

Man the PE building is a MASSIVE project.  Can't wait to see how they use the space.  Any idea how much SQ footage is in that building?

Not sure where you are getting this statement??  Did not redo Broadview just to abandon it. What does Broadview become then???
