We are aware of this. No need to post.

Some here seem to think that we have a "Bigpurplefans.ipbhost.com" internet package only and don't have access to ESPN, UAlbanySports.com, Timesuseless, etc.

Considering some of the things, the two of you have squawked, screeched and carry-on about, laughing out loud. I asked the two of you: Are you the control content editors of this site?

Perhaps, my posting would have given someone an opportunity to reflect on the honoree's accomplishments.

The both of you are on the path to diminish the importance of this forum.

CW, If you have something to say about the honorees, we'd ALL appreciate your comments and input. BUT just to post a list which is easily available to everyone on this blog and more than likely already read by 99.9% of the followers of the blog, SERVES NO USEFUL PURPOSE IMHO.

If you have something to say, please say it; but just posting things that are redundant and readily available, does not enhance conversation, which is what this blog is for. Simply posting scores, schedules, redundant news, does nothing to "given someone an opportunity to reflect." And I say this as a friend who appreciates and looks forward to your thoughts, opinions & ideas. But to be perfectly frank, hunting through all your post that offer nothing but scores, schedules, redundant news that is readily available is distracting.

Not sure where to put this:  Don Cohen '61 and UAlbany Hall of Famer passed away this morning.  I think he may still hold a school rebounding record, but, I can't quickly find the appropriate site.  Don could often be seen at MBB games in SEFCU Arena sitting in one of the back rows of Sec. 200.  RIP.

It’s in the back of the game notes. Don Cohen had 1317 RB in 101 games (13 per game) from 1957-61. Sam Rowley and Grieg Stire are the only D-I players in the top ten. Don also has the single-season record of 462 in 28 games (16.5 pg) in 1960-61

Had the privilege of playing with Don for 4 years and feeding him for some of those points.  He was a true gentle giant,  great team mate,  truly great rebounder.

Doc worked with him 1 on 1 and made him a great player as Don had limited high school experience.  He will be missed by many.
