  1. Unless the rules have changed {and they change so fast these days, who know}; if he does NOT hire an agent and/or he does not get drafted and/or does not like his draft round or whatever; he can return to UA. Pretty sure in this player centric world with pretty much absolute freedom of movement, I think the NFL declare rule is non binding, unless the athlete have an agent?? If anyone knows for sure please correct me. THANKS.
  2. Looks awfully tentative when he is out there? AND seems lost; like he does not know where he is suppose to be offensively and confused who he is covering defensively?? Fear of re-injury and being a watcher & not really a participant @ practices; and no game experience for over a year this is natural. HOPE/think he will get up to speed soon; but guessing it may take longer than we've hoped??
  3. This appears to have been his M/O @ Hofstra. A hot stretch than struggles for long periods. I think he has the talent to be one of the best players in the AmEast, if staff can figure a way to get him to be more consistent. Also, "seems" to get down on himself when something goes wrong? Got to figure a way to get him to move on from adversity and to be more consistent. Guess it is easier to say than DO?
  4. Can’t shot. Cannot get a rebound. Right now 28% to 42%. Rebounds 17 to 35. 😟
  5. Agree. But you realize the opposite is happening. Courts just shot down rule that made 2nd time transfers rule more difficult. Two months of absolute FREE range, while ncaa tries to figure something out??? Right now can transfer anywhere any # of times totally no restrictions. lcc has a kid in their starting line up tonight who has been denied 3 times to get his second transfer wait waved😝
  6. ++. Plus what tisses me off more; when caa/flosports teams visit AmEast teams they get to watch "their" away games for FREE on AmEast TV or espn3; or for a reasonable price on espn+.🤐😦
  7. Kikuria any thoughts/opinion on new coach? His BIO looks very impressive. Of course, I respect your privacy if you do not wish to respond or have no opinion.
  8. Had ten home games last year; due to Penn coming here two years in a row to accommodate Merrimack joining Am East late. Also, Syracuse was suppose to come to UA this year, but is not. Not sure why? Also, per my post above every other year home/away has been out of balance for years. This was the year it was suppose to be resolved. Not sure if last years extreme 10 home - 4 away has messed up the fix??
  9. Inside Lax unofficial has 7 away & 6 home. Opening 2/2 vs lcc. Might be a scrimmage like last year & Inside [Afrims??] Did not get a chance to compare to schedule listed here earlier; seems to be one less road game & only 13 total if lcc real game. If not only 12 games not 14??
  10. This is truly outstanding. There was a page & ½ in the TU this AM. But it is still not the BIG ONE. UA waiting and still in the running for a share of the 55 Billion National Research Hub. Schumer lead on this initiative and as I recall it passed congress two years ago. Most of the 55 billion is geared to Chip Manufacturing Plants. But a significant amount is included for one, two or several research HUBS. With the most likely number being TWO hubs [one on the west coast & one on the east coast {with UA Nano being leading east contender}.] The above will ADD to UA's status and chances of becoming a HUB; but pretty sure it is not directly connected. Anyone with more information on HUB status and how if anything this latest development fits in the BIG ONE, OPINIONS and THOUGHTS encouraged. ps the 10 million is mostly corporate investment , HUB money will be from the federal government.
  11. They were supposedly trying to work out a home/away equal schedule; instead of every other year being heavily one way or the other. Looks like NOT. Technically we will still owe Penn another trip there, and with Merrimack leaving AmEast; 2025 going to be even more difficult to fix this unbalanced schedule we've had for some years now??
  12. Anyone know when the schedule will be out. Past years deadline to renew season tickets was around Christmas. [last year my renewal invoice was 12/19.] Seems to me always had the schedule a month or so before before the renewal deadline and before general sale open to the public???????
  13. The problem is not really football. Obviously the CAA has earned respect over the years with multiple ncaa bids nearly every year. The problem as I see it, is their push to increase ALL SPORTS membership; WITHOUT doing anything to make those non football sports more respected, more competitive and without offering multiple ncaa bid opportunities. Even caa football is not what it use to be with departures like old D, jmu, and now Delaware. Their additions IMHO have not really added much, except having too many teams making it difficult to crown a definitive champion. The lowly Mac has done the same thing; and the only thing they have accomplished besides getting more lowly is allow members to play each other more and play OOC less. More is simply NOT always better!
  14. First half TO’s and the fact that temple physicality just too much for UA tonight. #33 on temple looked 33 years old and recently retired from the NFL. And of course final score difference directly related to points from foul line 22of32 vs 14of 18 (@ least our %age made was good)
  15. Maybe not too 25; but held our own against Marshall & Hawaii. And UA has gotten better since September. LIKE our chances. ps What/Who compares Sdakota to FBS top 25???
  16. Unlike most of you die hards who stayed up to the end; I went to bed in the 4th QTR and listened to Roger on the radio. I thought Roger was going to have a heart attack ; I thought I was too. Anyhow, Roger said UA would be flying back to Albany last night arriving @ 9AM this morning??? A couple of you mentioned you though UA going right to SouthD?? Anyone hear if they are back or somewhere between Idaho & SouthD. Anyhow, I AGREE awesome game. UA UKNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
  17. Sorry Jimbo; did not mean to connect the shot blocking/stealing quote to you. Just copied it from your response {my mistake}. Just trying to point out that the two are not the same thing and the only connection is, each is part of a defensive scheme. Bad or good shot blocking and being bad or good at steals, IMHO have no direct correlation.
  18. IMHO. My answer is NO to all of the above. I know most disagree with me and I respect that. But personally I have NOT seen any evidence (or very little) that the CAA helps UA significantly more than the AmEast. And in fact, the CAA without a doubt by it bloated size and # of teams make it MORE difficult to win ncaa bids.
  19. Not sure I get your connection between shot blocking and steals. Two mostly unrelated STATS. Many ways to get a steal and even if you block a shot does mean you automatically gain possession. I would guess perhaps only ½ the time or maybe less, do you gain possession on a blocked shot?? On the other hand a steal is a steal and you have the ball, until someone steals it back, you turn it over, score, or miss a shot that is then rebounded by the opponent. Not being critical, just don't understand your connection between blocks & steals? I absolutely agree that UA recently gets many more shots blocked than they block themselves. Although this year UA SEEMS to be blocking more {I have not checked STATS, but just guessing based on game viewing.}
  20. I was NEVER for UA joining the CAA and especially vehement against joining for ALL SPORTS. I am NOT trying to re-start an old argument/discussion; and I respect that most on this board have been strong CAA proponents. Just wanted to point out adding teams [up to 16 now for football, almost half are football only.] has NOT increased opportunity or number of ncaa CAA participants. And for all other CAA sports which are predominantly and usually just 1 BID entries, the chances of participating in ncaa tournaments become MORE difficult with the number of teams that participate in the conference. Its just math; in basketball in the AmEast UA has a 1 in 9 chance (of course quality and a lot of other factors enter in.) In lacrosse UA has a 1-8 or 1-7 (2025 Merrimack out) and even higher as AmEast has been a 2 bid conference multiple times over the years. Not sure what CAA's all sports participant totals are but betting 1 in X NOT good unless they could figure out a way to get multiple bids, which IMHO ain't happening.
  21. Watching live, I thought he looked a little hesitant. With an injury that took over a year to heal, I'm sure this is normal. At one point he had a sure dunk, but pulled up and threw up a 3 foot air ball. Not being critical, I'm glad he is being cautious and taking it slow for now.
  22. For what its worth Potsdam recently/in process of MAJOR program cuts [Including its pre-eminent Crane School of Music] due to massive budget shortfall aka rosebuds?
