1. The roster on the web site is still last year's. I noticed in the article that Thrower's return wasn't mentioned. I wonder if the early poster was right in saying she isn't coming back. I hope they update the roster soon.
2. Don't hold your breath. It's a guarantee game providing lots of cash and a loss.
3. If the women are not part of a double header on Dec. 2, I don't understand why they don't alternate sites. Are they part of a siena DH? The siena women don't usually play in the TUC. Maybe siena thinks they can boost attendance by getting UA fans in for te women's game.
4. Personally, I'd rather be a Delaware, Montana St., New Hampshire than a Buffalo.
5. Ruler - stop - we're going to get a new stadium! We'll suffer for a couple more years.
6. The women's program won a playoff game before the men's did, granted with Warner recruits, but I'm hoping our relapse last year is temporary. We lost an awful lot of leadership and skills up front last year and Tanika's injury hurt a lot. I hope she's back this year.
7. I spoke with Will Brown at the Hall memorial. We are having a preview, before a football game, a couple weeks after the regular practices start, so that looks like Oct. 28 Wagner, which will make it a triple header day for me. Basketball preview around 2 pm? Football vs. Wagner at 4 pm VB vs. NH at 7 pm
8. Unless you're an UA insider or a close personal acquaintance with the recruit we'll never know what happened or is happening. I'm in agreement with alum73's way of thinking Lets hope the staff takes care of business and it all works out for the best for both side of the equation. 16414 That's crap. The article all but admits that the kid was reneging because his stock went up and he expects better offers. Good for the kid. It might be the anti-Jamar, but it also might be best for Howard Little. 16417 Regardless of the real reason an article will be couched that way so the player appears to be reopening recruiting for that reason. Maybe we'll still get him, maybe not. This stuff is going to happen more and more as we rise in the pecking order. The better you get, the more cometition there is. We need to get used to it.
9. I answered everything's in place, because I'm assuming the stadium gets built.
10. Not knowing the reason for this, it;s all speculation. There are many possible reasons. Our staff has done a great job recruiting and I'm sure they have contingencies, as this is not an uncommon occurrance.
11. That's a good question. Many of them will be televised, but I don't know where the TV schedule is.
12. Not that I'm aware of, but I'll bring the BK, what do you want Bob?
13. I expect to see all of you at the UA vs. Siena volleyball match next Tuesday night.
14. We need to expand the campus. I'm hoping we get part of the Harriman caampus to the east.
15. I'm not going to say the ambiance dosn't matter, but the product right now is exceptional. We need to get out and watch it. I hope the admin. has fixed theconcessions problem which made the Fordham game an embarrassment on multiple levels.
16. I'm also in the opinion that we need to make sure we're the Albany that everyone thinks of. Albany St. in GA, will need (GA) after their name.
17. I assume the RACC Rowdies are still a viable student group, although they appearred to be primarily present at basketball, they were also seen at football and volleyball.
18. Hopefully, the addition of the journalism major will improve the caliber of the writing in the ASP.
19. My 2 cents It's possible to root for your team, voice displeasure for calls without using inappropriate language. Let's be the school that does it in clever, imaginative ways, without the vulgarity. We're trying to be the premier program in the capital district. We bring in youth basketball teams girl scouts, etc., let's show some class. I don't care what BU does, but I would hope we won't need to take steps such as those taken in BU. They don't get many fans at their basketball games.
20. Very Nice. By the time it finished, my grin was ear to ear.
21. There were a couple politicians there, the mayor and assemblyman. I'm not sure if there were others, but I thought it was very moving.
22. That is horrible news. My prayers go out ot the players and their families.
