From laxpower:

"Here are some basics. Score was 6 to 2 in favor of U of A in the first quarter. It was 6 to 6 at half. The 3rd ended with Colgate having a one point lead. The reserves played in the 20 min 4th quarter and U of Albany ended up a point ahead something like 13 to 12. The offense went in spurts, sometimes looking spectacular and other times anemic. Defense actually stood tall and played pretty solid for most of the game. Albany goalie Blaze Riorden had a solid day and his back up in the 4th quarter looked quite good. Faceoffs were around even many times ending up in a scrum. Albany had one goal off of a fast break created by the FO. It should be noted that face off specialist Connor Russel (Pennfield NY) was on the sideline resting a hamstring pull. He did quite well at the Albany vs Yale fall ball game and was missed in this game. There were 9 or 10 guys on the sideline not dressed to play due to injuries. My unofficial impression is that most will be good to go for the Syracuse game in a couple of weeks. It was windy and started to snow during the game. Kinda kiss your sister lacrosse outing."

Unofficially: I had the princeton game 14 all. We were up 9-5 at the half [should have been 9-3, but twice we left princeton attack wide open directly in front of the net--and I mean not an UA player within feet {some sort of break down I guess} for two easy goals. The third period we played no "D" at all and Riorden who looked really good early could not stop a thing. (12-12 after 3). The fourth was played entirely with subs and after prince went up two, our subs got the last two. Our FO specialist did not play at all, but except for the third period, I think we held our own @ the X. Not the case in the second game, where we were getting killed @ the X by penn. But I had us up 9-6 @ the half, before the 22º temp got the best of me; and I left. Overall to score 14 against prince (notoriously one of the best defensive teams in the country) speaks volumes. Like last year we seem to be able to score at will, play incredible "D" in spurts, but somehow have enough defensive/midfield/goalie lapses and allow TOO many goals. I know with our high powered/high risk offense the opponent is going to get a lot of chances, but if this team is serious about a final four they need to shore up D somehow.

Anyone who stayed for the entire penn want to add a final score? OTHER IMPRESSIONS AND OPINIONS on the scrimmage MORE THAN WELCOMED!!

I had to go south for the weekend, didn't make it. Looks like the D played well in the first half....

The first half of these things usually tells more of the story. But then again, I'm naturally pessimistic of our D

so I'll have to see for myself.

One week to Syracuse!

Is this game going to be televised? I know last years was on SNY.

SNY has basketball sunday afternoon.

It is listed as TWCS 50, but after the LCC canisius basketball game. With as many fouls as LCC committs, expect to miss at least the 1st qtr :(

Got it thanks. Guess I'll have to see if americaeast.tv will stream it.
