OK, first things first.

Marist is only about 90 miles away, but this is our first meeting in almost 38 years (a 96-59 win on 1/7/78).

Red Foxes are 1-4, only win 10 points over Dartmouth. Lost to Holy Cross at home by 3 in their opener. Lost to Vermont by 26. They play Manhattan today.

Their biggest crowd in 3,200-seat McCann Arena this year was about 1,700.

From what I've read, Manhattan is not very good this year. I think Siena beat them by 35?

And then promptly went out and lost to a 200+ St. Peters today.

Such is the life of mid-major road games. Take care of business at home and steal some on the road! Hopefully this is again one of the latter for us.

CB on the radio said Marist is similar to NJIT and HC, will play with four guards, Hart is shooting 45% from three, but Parker is scoring 17 ppg yet hasn't attempted a 3-ptr this year. Expects them in a 2-3 zone and dare us to shoot.

That last statement is pretty scary, we've shot very poorly. May have to chuck and hit board hard...pound them there.

From the TU blog...Who's saying that? LOL. I mean what is a good matchup for the Danes? So it's not a small lineup (NJIT/HC) and it's not a big lineup (UK/USF). Is it somewhere in between??

“I love it when people say, ‘oh, they should beat this team,’ or ‘they should beat that team,” Brown said after the Danes practiced at SEFCU Arena Monday afternoon. “You takes records and you throw them out the window. It’s all about matchups. NJIT and Holy Cross (both wins) were very difficult matchups for us. So is Marist.”

Probably teams that only play three or four guys at a time would be a great match-up for us.

I suspect CB is saying we've eeked out a couple of close wins in the past few games. We're not exactly a dominating force (yet) that is going to go in and blow teams out of their own gym.

HAHAHA we might still have our nails then!

It was just interesting to see him go to the media with that quote.
