Spring football practice begins 3/21

In the spring practice write up there's no mention of Zee Roberson or Isaiah Clark. Are they still with the program? Maybe just a misinterpretation by me.

Marisa Jacques reported that Roberson is no longer with the team.

"The Great Danes will be without their top receiver from last season, Zee Roberson. According to the school, Roberson is no longer with the program. He missed three games due to injury last season but averaged about 38 yards per game through the air. The Great Danes are adding JUCO transfer Jerrod Diggs at receiver and return Jordan Crockett, CBA grad Austin Ellis and Brad Harris."

Don't like to see players leave the team. IMO, it's more about getting ready for the rest of their lives. They're not going to the NFL, so i'd hope that they'd use football to get an education and get ready for the next phase of their lives. Even if he's still in school - football creates structure that a lot of students need so while there's a lot to balance, there's support to get it all done. I think about Croskey, Gontarek and now Roberson (i'm sure there are others, just can't think of them now) - hope they all finish school.

Anyway, i'll get off my soapbox.

I was surprised not to see Ibn Foster on the Spring write up; also, Julian Cox was mentioned more as an afterthought.

This type of thing is very prevalent in football. So many more players, violent sport.

Friday Feature - Brunson; Ibitokun-Hanks ahead of schedule.

Gattuso: “We should be capable of throwing 50 times if we have to,”

Spring game will start at 3:00, followed by tailgating until the Yale lacrosse game at 7:00

I've been to the last couple of spring games but can't recall how long they last. It's not much more than an hour, right? I have a commitment later in the day and wondering if I'll have time for both.

They've scheduled the GDAC's final town hall meeting in the parking lot at 4:45, so they can't expect the game to last more than an hour and a half.

There's also a Tailgate Challenge at 5:00

Wait, going back to the first page...Spring game is today at 3PM?

As for the Town Hall, I've had it on my calendar for months as 4/22 @ 5:30PM.

Are we sure about these details? I was under the impression it was after the Spring game.

-----------------

EDIT: Per this article, the info on the first page of this thread is incorrect...the Spring game IS 4/22 @ 3PM but they state the town hall is right after so could be 4:30 or 5:30pm.

The evening event has now stretched into a late afternoon through evening event so no football game, no town hall and no lacrosse. Oh well....
