Looking forward to this game! I'll be back in my usual spot after not attending a UA sporting event in what, 2 years? I'm excited for the bland concession hotdog, etc. etc. :D.

Please don't get cancelled due to breakthrough cases!

Started off 1-7 and now have a chance to end non conference play at 5-8.

I'd say that would be quite an accomplishment, all things considered and schedule.  And if you take into account the LaSalle, Harvard, and Niagara games, I think the team wins at least two, if not all three, if it played them again.  The team is learning to do things...

If you said 5-8 before the season, I'd say respectable.  If you said 7-6, I'd raise an eyebrow.  If you said 8-5, I'd say WOW.

I'm ok with 5-8, with the knowledge we gave some away.

Now, league play has to continue to show improvement.  Personally, I believe Dre Perry and Justin Neely will be dominant in the league.  If we can get consistent play from the guards and the bench, we have a chance to be in the 10-8 or 11-7 range.  That would likely put us in the 4-5 seed range, and 15-16 or 16-15 on the season.  Anything better would be absolute gravy.  At this point, that is what I'd expect from this group 16-15 (11-7) and a four seed.

I love the optimism. But I think a .500 record in AE play would be an over achievement.

I of course hope for better and if they can average 70 a game, (That's the ncaa average) then I think they have a shot at 11 wins or so. I just don't see that happening.

Continue to build on this season and get better for the next one .

You take out a loss and put in a win with a non D1 team and you are looking at 5-7 instead of 4-8. Looks like Hartford is the only team with a full D1 schedule. The rest all have at least one non D1 team on there.

Part optimism, part me looking at the schedule.  Honestly, with the talent...and even with the PG issues (or lack of a pure PG, to be fair to Horton I think he's a combo guy and does really well at that role...he's not a pure PG. From what I've heard from two different coaching staffs (indirect but close contacts), Amica was considered the real deal by both staffs), this team should be above .500 in conference.

Let's look at the schedule for wins:

Maine- yeah, tough to play up in Orono or Bangor...but this team isn't that good.  I'd expect 2 wins.

Bing- I'd expect two wins

Hartford- I'd expect two wins

UMBC- Aggressively expect two wins.

Stony Brook, UVM, Lowell, and Vermont- I expect 3 wins out of 8 games,

On that analysis, that gets you 11 wins.  That being said, we are likely going to trip up once or twice against the Maine, Bing, Hartford, and UMBC contingent and steal one of the 5 predicted losses for the current top half of the league.  So that gives us one more loss, getting us to 10-8.  To get to .500 we'd have to have a really bad combo of drops.  Sub .500 and I'd actually question the coaching acumen, and I am not going there as the team and coaches seem to be gelling and playing less 1-1 hoops.

I stand by my shoot for "1-2 games over 500" with this group.   Remember, their defense will always keep them in and I think the offense will get much better.

I'd be happy to be .500 in the first year of a new regime. Meaning if we go like .450 I'll still be okay with it. We just can't go .333 or worse.

Said while the record is 4-8, .333

😂😂😂

Obviously it would be nice to improve on the current record, but no guarantees

Sorry, should have clarified. I am referring to conference record.
