I've made it quite obvious - these were simple responses to simply questions posed to Lee McElroy. You've read my questions to him, as well as his answers. I don't know him personally, and I'm surprised to have received responses.

 

Who the h*** knows what will happen, when it will happen, or if anything will happen. I'm just passing along the info to my UAlbany buddies here on BPF. Simple as that.

I don't think there is any reason to question UofA.

 

Now question McElroy is a different story. Pretty sure we've heard him say since 2007 that a stadium announcement was imminent.

 

What I can say is there is zero reference to any stadium project on State Univesrity Constrution Fund website, which is where I'd expect to see it.

Don't shoot the messenger! I have e-mails that I can show you where I was promised there would be an announcement last year...well the month came and went without a peep.

It should also be noted though that I cannot find any referece to the new student housing on the SUCF website either and we know that's going on.....there's dirt moving on that one. So who knows.

 

How nice it must be for private schools to just hire a contractor and have him start working.

On a lighter note,

 

I emailed McElroy a few days ago, asking if the stadium announcement was going to be made

at the big purple growl. I stated if this was the case, I wanted to attend, but would need

to make some adjustments to my travel plans.

 

Anyhow, he wrote back saying that President Philip would be making the announcement, along with

the other announcements regarding capital projects... but he didn't specify if Philip would be

making the announcements at the BPG or not.

It could still be February, just unclear what year or decade.
