Congratulations to the UAlbany Great Danes. UAlbany will play Duke on Friday in Philadelphia in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Institution tickets are very limited and will be offered to current donors and supporters of UAlbany. Purchase of these tickets must be done by credit card with a development officer. Prices will be made available later this evening or tomorrow. The ticket allotment is extremely limited. However, if there are any remaining tickets, they will be offered to season ticket holders at 3pm Tuesday. Unfortunately, it is doubtful there will be any tickets available. A bus will be made available to current UAlbany Students with valid ID’s. The bus will include a ride to and from Philadelphia, a game ticket and a tee shirt. Price, time and other information will be determined tomorrow.

Please check www.ualbanysports.com for more details. Thank you and Go Great Danes!

As a result, we encourage all season ticketholders to make their own arrangements in order to support the Great Danes in Philadelphia. Thank you in advance for your understanding of this situation, I will update everyone tomorrow as well should any new details arise.

At the selection show gathering, the alumni association talked about getting a bus/buses. Is this only for "developmental officer" [whatever that is] supported tickets? It is suggested season ticket holders make their own arrangements for tickets {stub hub whatever}; but if we do--can we still buy a ride on the alumni bus? Anyone really know what is going on? When we were in Columbus in 07, I do not remember restrictions on the alumni bus, only first come first serve, but I was unable to attend so I may be remembering wrong? Also, Brown said yesterday we could conceivably out number Duke fans by being in Philly. Again, I might be wrong but I interpreted that to mean their were plenty of tickets available?

At the selection show no one in the school knew how many tickets would be available. So everything was up in the air regarding plans.

I think Brown meant because so many people hate Duke.

Email was sent to season ticket holders about tickets this afternoon. Some tickets will be available to purchase.

How about out of town varsity club donators? :)

Looks like I might be hitting stub hub. If anyone finds out what the Albany section is please let me know. I'd like to try and get tickets close to there.

madDOG - "The school should send out a press release on the proper pronunciation of Albany. Between the VT game and the selection show, it's clear that the media has no clue. "AL- Bany" is cringe inducing!"

No need - Seth Greenberg analyzed the Midwest region this p.m. and I don't think he even said 'Albany', just talked about how good Duke was.

They better decide how to pronounce Iati, though.

Per the website

Due to the limited number of tickets allotted to each school, UAlbany Athletics suggests fans purchase tickets through other outlets. The UAlbany sections within the Wells Fargo Center are 114 and 214
