MBB: vs. UVM (Big Purple Growl) 2/6

Will my friend have a problem buying a ticket at the box office if he shows up for the game tomorrow? He won't be sure whether he can come or not until tomorrow afternoon but he is driving 1.5 hours.

Probably not if he gets there early. As of now there are thirteen chairback seats remaining (all single) but several hundred reserved seats. I don't know how much walkup sale they do. Or he could buy them online just before he leaves and pick them up at will call.

Story on TU+ says there were 700 tickets left at 4:00

"This weekend is a big deal, but when it comes to the game, we focus on the game," senior guard Peter Hooley said. "We know this is a massive game for us, because we are trying to get that separation from them in the standings."
Since 2008, the Danes have played Vermont twice in the Purple Growl and lost both times. In 2014, UAlbany lost to the Catamounts 55-45; in 2009, it was 79-70.
UAlbany has won the past four times it has played Vermont. Before losing at SEFCU last year (79-73), the Catamounts had won the past six games they played the Danes in the regular season at SEFCU Arena.
Vermont has had better success on the road against league opponents. The Catamounts are 4-0 away from Patrick Gym in America East games and 2-3 in Burlington.

That's an interesting road stat for them.

If we can win this game and they can beat SB in SB...and we beat SB...we could in theory still be in the mix for the 1st seed.

We will celebrate the 10 year Anniversary of the 2005-06 America East Men's Basketball Championship at tonight's game. Not everyone could make it, so here is Jason Siggers talking about what it meant to him. #GoGreatDanes

First off, full house tonight. That was a fun basketball environment that should get people back. I hope we had recruits visiting for that one.

It seemed like the officials let them play for that first 10 minutes or so and then Cremo and Bell-Haymes tangled up and things got all wacky. The officials held bring the crowd into it.

50 points from the big three tonight - Peter, Evan and Ray.

Rich Peters seems like a really nice guy and is a skilled player but I would like to see him get just a little bit of mean going. Maybe he could borrow a bit of Stire's.

Cremo - 8 points, 8 boards and 3 assists with no turnovers. He missed a few of those little floaters he usually makes. I thought CB encouraged him to be more aggressive in the second half.
