Good game. Fell just short. Feels nice to see UA basketball again. Would have liked a win, but the team showed a lot. Wouldn't be surprised to see a win tomorrow.

I'm happy for the first game against a team who has played 5 games more than us.

Definitely think we have a more balanced team this year were a few people can contribute offensively instead of being dependent on just Clark or just Healy.

For our first game, I'm pretty happy. Wish that last play was a little more organized, but a solid showing and makes for a promising start

I think Brown recruited his tail off this past offseason. So far, I like who he brought in. I'm giving it B+ grade right now.

We got pretty roundly out rebounded, but otherwise for our first game against a team who's already played 5, solid solid game.

I know UA was out rebounded, but with the smaller team this year, I expect that to happen a lot. Especially when the team shoots so poorly. 6-19 from 3 was probably the real difference. I hope that doesn't become the norm this season.

Was thinking the same thing. I'm sure they wanted Healy and Kelly on the floor and Rizzuto had a great game but the last trip could have used a PG.

A couple of obvious defensive lapses that you don't usually see from a Will Brown team. Eight new guys playing their first game will probably give you that.

I've been wanting to see Lulka fired up or pissed off or showing some emotion and I saw that tonight.

Not sure how those really small lineups are going to fair. I thought we had our lunch eaten in the post tonight (rebounds and points.)

Being able to bring Rizzuto, Horton, Hutch and Schaefer off the bench is going to be nice.

Considering he hasn't really played in over two year, I though Jojo Anderson played pretty well.

Very happy to see UA sports! Happy with the effort and nice to see so many athletic players rotating in and out. With the back to backs it’ll be the norm I’m sure. Nothing glaring in the stats except for rebounds and fast breaks being dominated by UMBC. Our shooting stats for all three categories went down first to second half, while theirs went up for all three. Perhaps sixth game versus first game?

 

Not sure I like the SEFCU covid19 set up. Having the seats retracted gives it a cavernous vibe. It’s bad enough to not have fans, but why not try to make it a little more intimate? Concentrate the team and natural game sound noise. I liked the UMBC WBB set up better. Seats in position, cut outs, advertising banners over the empty seats. Seemed more “real” versus apocalyptic empty arena vibe. Just my opinion.

Right? Hard agree here. It looks like a practice gym at the moment. The "Get Loud" animation followed by absolute silence during UMBC's foul shots was particularly sad

There's gotta be a way to pipe crowd noise in there or something
