Three years. Not sure why we needed a running back other than for backup purposes.

To Alternate with Griff - take a little stress off him maybe. He got beat up this year - surgery during this off-season on muscles in both shoulders.

That makes sense then.  Griff is more of an outside the tackles guy, so a thunder/lightening approach would work.

I suspect we get a commit shortly for a  cb.  Kid from app state wes on a visit and he had a good one.

Midyear transefers until Jan 15.  Regular season transfers Feb 15 to April 1.   Plenty of time.  BUT they love getting guys in this time of the year - spring practice is typically important.

Other than losing Poffenbarger, which obviously is a huge loss, this could be a long term net positive.  First Verse, then Juncaj and now Poff, at the very least, this will great a revolving door at Albany of talent that can use us as a place to get attention and stats and playing time.  While, I hate the loss of players after only a couple of years, I think it should create a winning program in the long run.  I mean, getting a Big 10 back-up QB is a pretty big deal.
