So it seems the bread and butter of UA, and tell me if I am wrong, is Western PA/Ohio/Indiana area and northern areas of the Capital Region.

I think you are correct but not for lack of trying to get other kids in.  Every year U A has made offers to kids from all over the country. The program has brought kids in on official visits from all over the country, BUT some times they can not get into the school academically, want to be closer to home or decide to go elsewhere for other reasons.   We have had kids from Florida, California, the Carolinas, now Wisc. and other states on the team right now.  No idea what happened to the DB who committed to Elon rather than us.  He looked like almost a sure thing.

As I thought (and knew last week that negotiations were ongoing because I have indirect, very close connections to the biggest booster at the U), Reese was NEVER option one for the Hurricanes and I hope to god he knew that going into this and wants to learn for a year for a crack at one final shot at playing in his senior year.

Cam Ward just bailed on the NFL and committed to the U.  Reese will only see meaningful time if Cam gets injured.  Full stop.  He was ALWAYS option 1 for the U.

If I were Reese, I would start looking for a new environment.  The kid could have won a title at Albany...could have built something...and most certainly would NOT have hurt his NFL stock by staying at Albany.

If he knew, then he made a decision.  If he did not, then he was naïve and I feel for him as he is a great kid.

I do feel bad.  Unfortunately he made his bed and now has to lay in it.

And I have absolutely no problem watching him lay in it.

Poff's road to the starting lineup just got toughe. Just read officially  that Cam Ward from Washington State  IS forgoing the NFL and headed to the University of Miami. Dane 96's intel is spot on. Come Home Poff!!!
