Looks absolutely fantastic.

Now imagine what a football stadium would look like. The school is finally starting to get "it". Not enough just to put up stands...but the added touches. Goes to something else I thought about today: why are we NOT getting two new scoreboards for the AE game. I have to think that the next year guarantee game (like the 'Nova game paying for the lockerroom) is going to be for TWO new scoreboards...or even one.

The school should take out a small loan against the guarantee game and but at least one of them in time for the tourney. Just my .02.

Looks fantastic though!!!

I have a feeling that the 250,000 dollars we get every year from SEFCU for naming rights is going to result in improvements to the old RACC. I would have to believe that some of the 250,000 this year was used to put in new seats. Also since we are trying to improve the Q for the AET I wouldn't be shocked if they were to put a second score board that listed numbers, fouls, t.o.. Some sort of score board that St. Rose has would be great.

Surprisingly they are not that expensive, maybe the Varsity club could make this happen. I would have no problem chipping in.

I know Coach desperately wants one of those scoreboards...and it would REALLY...REALLY look good for the AET.

I, however, heard the one we want is very pricey. IMHO, if they are going to do it....do it right-- get video capable on one end...spend the $$$. The ones you show have to be updated each game with the away team players. Those are cheap. We are probably talking in the neighborhood of a 200k or more for the right one. Ironically, if you scroll down the page, you will see Brian Lillis' high school's scoreboard. We need something like that with a video display.

Then, the following year, finish the opposite side seats. The year after, put a second scoreboard in...or new overhead. Then, by that time, the last REALLY big upgrade would be a plush Coach's office...but that will most LIKELY be tied in with the new football facility.

That...would be my four-year upgrade plan...and quite frankly would do what is necessary to make the place fantastic. At that point, I honestly think ONLY Chase Family Arena would be our rival: both Arena's have the potential to be VERY VERY loud.

D96,

I totally agree with you, if we are gonna do it, lets do it right! Are any further upgrades planned to the arena? New lights to make the place a bit brighter would look nice to. I think the bigger need is the overhead scoreboard rather then the side but at this point I'll take what ever they can do to spruce the place up.

Overhead scoreboards can cost a million plus. They are overrated if you have these videoscreens...believe me. BC's is weak...but the bad boys at each end are great!

Put a videoscreen on at least one end...with a new player/foul/pt/ scoreboard...and then put a player foul on the other...and hotdamn!

FOR SOME REASON IT WOULDNT LET ME INSERT THE BELOW ONES: "sorry, dynamic pages in the IMG tags are not allowed."

ANY OF THESE WOULD MAKE OUR LITTLE ARENA, WITH THE NEW SEATS AND LOCKERROOM...A RECRUITS DREAM!

Found this on a weblog:

According to a weblog (http://gj249443.wordpress.com/2008/09/22/john-fallon-field-gets-a-facelift/), PHASE 3 is the final seating for Field Hockey and will also include the concessions and restrooms for the lax field.

The third phasing is awaiting approval.

The interview is with Rick Coe, Deputy AD...from Sept. 22, 2008

Total Stadium Cost: $7 million.

the one thing i hope they do for the lacrosse field is they have an area or flag poles that show the championship banners or championship years...that is a great form of showing off the UA tradition to first time visitors and those capital district fans who want to be regular fans. also, it is a great form of intimidation for opponents.

i would also think a sound system would be installed with this as well correct?

I think all the above are standard.

You can see on the black poles they have places for banners... maybe those are where the championship banners would go?

D96 in your opinion do you think 2.75 million that we get from SEFCU will be enough to get a new score board and put in new chairbacks on both sides?
