And a win is a win. No matter how ugly. Never seen so many people pissed off about a come from behind buzzer beater. Congrats to DK on his first.

No one pissed off...people are sharing their observation with no malice. What do you want folks to say...what an incredible showing? Yes, it was a win, first for DK, glad the kids got to taste victory...hopefully many more but it was ugly. That's all...

🤣

Observations fine. But the assumption that they were just going to lose by 10 or more is the seemingly hope of 1 or 2 people.

Fair. I’m all on board for criticism when due. There’s no disagreement that it’s been ugly. I also wouldn’t say they regressed today as they played a 12pm game in front of a crowd of Bob87 after playing in front of 12k fans two days before. Definitely harder to get up for that. I’d throw out the window how they played this game and just take the W. There was also added pressure on the players to get him his first win. I’m sure now that’s out of the way maybe that makes a difference who knows.

LOL

There are some that are going to complain no matter what. Not the best game, but nice to get win number 1 of the season for the team and coach.

Not one person complained they won . Not 1.  I'm glad they won.  People are stating the team did not play well against another terrible team.

Some people are ok with being below average.  Or mediocre.  It's tough to argue with facts.

Some people where predicting 20 plus wins.

Hopefully they improve and the underclassmen improve and take a step. Again glad they won.

Missed all but a few minutes of the radio call. A win is a win. Nice to have #1 in the book. Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but one of the Eastern Illinois players is a former LCC grad transfer. Just a little sweetener for the 3 point dagger at the buzzer.

Too bad we couldn't watch to give it the eye test, but analytically, this was their second worst defensive effort (Townson being the worst) and their 3rd best offensive performance (worst of the last 3).

It looks like they are showing improvement over the beginning of the year, but I have to imagine that this road trip took a toll on their legs, and obviously coming off the Kentucky game it was probably hard to stay focused.

While this game wasn't good, a win is a win, and a buzzer beater always helps get the adrenaline going. Kansas State is going to be another tough one on Wednesday, but hopefully the momentum has switched and we see another improved performance. Don't care if they lose the next two games: Kansas St. and Yale, but I hope to see growth in confidence and more team play. Come home and impress with a win over Columbia for the Big Purple Growl.

The "mentality" needs to be improve as a team every day.

So your position is that I hope they lose...is that right? At the time I posted that they had no life...we're down 10 or 8pts.

You always have the worst case scenario. If they are down by 8 that means the are going to lose by 10 or more. Never that they could turn it around and make a run. Even years when Albany had good teams you usually wanted to fire the coach multiple times during the season. Also the way you describe a typical basketball 3 point shot as a miracle shot. It wasn't rushed. It was a nice shot. Still between 1 and 2 seconds when it went in.

This is blatantly not true... I've never in good years called for any coaches head. I've been calling for Gattusos head for many years because he sucks. Even last two year with Brown I said Benson will make the call. Years ago there was a time or two I asked if there was a need to look at that program and make change...and they did. This post is full of $iena.

As for your previous post that you conveniently didn't address. I'll ask you again...you think I'm rooting for the team to lose game? Do I have that right? And to that I'll ask you...are you crazy? There are plenty here who are and aren't posting...I'm not one of them.
