Brown also said 6 teams from the past tournament will be on the schedule.

1. Cuse

2. UNC

3. Siena

4. Bing

5. ???

6. ???

Could it be 2 more BCS teams? If so that would be a really tough schedule.

One of them would be Robert Morris (from the Coaches vs. Cancer event) at home. The other CvsC teams are Alcorn and Detroit.

I'd hope the Loyola series starts in Albany, we haven't heard much about any home games.

From my memory and what I've seen here:

Home Games:

Robert Morris

Alcorn State

Road Games:

Syracuse

UNC

American

Florida Atl

Penn

UCF

??

Loyola Chicago

Have to see when the Florida games are, that would be a nice trip. Syracuse and Penn look good too.

DP,

Someone posted this on Singelais' blog a couple of weeks ago. From the little bit I know, it seems fairly accurate:

Someone asked about Albany’s scheduling:

Tentative out-of-conference schedule for 2009-10:

11/10 at Syracuse

11/13 vs. Morgan St.

11/16 at American

11/28 at UCF

11/30 at FAU

12/5 at Siena

12/12 at Cent. CT

12/17 at Iona

12/23 at Penn

12/28 at Loyola Chicago

12/30 at North Carolina

It says tentative, so even if the information received is accurate at the time it was posted it can still change. As coach said on the interview, the schedule is close to being done except a couple of contracts have to be signed. Lets hope it gets finalized and released soon.

With that being said, if accurate the timing of the Florida games is great! On the listed in between day Marquette, Michigan, Xavier, Alabama, Baylor, Creighton and Florida State will be playing in Orlando.

Edit 8th team in that field left out on purpose as that league doesn't belong in the same sentence as the other 7 teams.

Thanks! I must have missed that.

If it's close to true the CCSU and Iona games are nice road trips.

I hope these opponents are correct. CCSU, Iona and Yale are close trips for me. Will also go to the Hartford and Stony Brook games. Now I just gotta figure out a few home games to go to and I will be set with a nice slate of UA basketball.

  • 2 weeks later...

Too bad there's an away football game on the 21st (at Wagner). Would have been nice to have a football game the same day. Would have been even cooler to have played RMU in football and basketball the same day.
