This is disgusting

This game was still disgusting. Rowley came up huge towards the end, but cracked under the big free throws at the end.

But he was so clutch on the 4 free throws before that. Without those 4, we might not have been in a position to win it.

I know. He is the reason why we won the game. He came up big. Could have gave us a little less agita if he hits both free throws :)

I've been more critical of this coaching staff then most on here but tonight, I feel compelled to tip my cap to Coach Brown...fair is fair and tonight I thought he coached a good game. Team wasn't firing on all cylinders offensively but the game plan clearly was to attack the paint and it worked...Pollard, Frasier and Edwards were all in foul trouble...Frasier especially was big as it didn't allow Maine to get off on the blocks meaning our perimeter kids could stay on the shooters. Sure it didn't matter for the first 30 minutes as they hit some crazy shots but it sure did at the end of the game when we made our run....the game is 40 minutes for a reason. They had some stupid shots go in...Edwards in particular but went cold in the last ten minutes in part due to good defense. Even when things looked bleak the team never deviated from the game plan. Maine guards were bigger and more athletic we have to get bigger on the perimeter especially the two-guard spot moving forwards (recruiting trail) but they really settled for jump shots. In the first half it worked well as they were hitting everything but then cooled off.

People are going to look at the fouls but the fact of the matter is that sometimes you make your own breaks and tonight we attacked and Maine settled.

What can you say about Rowley...the kid is special and tonight carried us. GET MORE AUSTRALIANS!

I thought there was a possession or two on defense late in the game when our crowd was as loud as I can remember. Playoff intensity tonight. Let's do it again tomorrow. :)

I agree with Click's comments too. Maine's backcourt---especially Edwards---is tremendous, but Coach made all the moves that he could to give us a chance tonight.

Interesting how he went with Black, Iati, and DJ at the same time at points in the second half.

Maine played with heart tonight and deserves respect. I watched Maine during the season when they didn't play up to their ability and that is why they were 6-10. Maine should have had a better record this year; they are talented. Edwards is awesome.
