Pureifoy hits a layup to tie with 24 sec. left, then misses the and-1; Mercer hits the game-winner with 1.2 left.

Too bad about SBU. Good team and good program - (in spite of their smack talking)... I'm glad they didn't make the dance, but would have been good to see them make some noise. The buzzer losses are tough to take.

I was saying this to some friends last night after reading about the end of that game. Actually, it was really during the celebration at SEFCU after the shot. I remember looking over at their section and seeing the band just stand motionless in complete shock at what had happened. I don't think a single one of their fans moved an inch or said a peep until "Land Down Under" was finished playing.

 

With all the smack talk, I wanted to see them suffer - but when it actually happened I felt sad for them. They will be tough once again next year, but we will be better as well.

Not going to lie. NOTHING is better than seeing dejected fans of opposing teams. It's just the nature of competition. It was great seeing that sea of red stunned not knowing what to do!

"This prestigious award recognizes SUNY students in the graduating class who have demonstrated the highest levels of academic excellence and made significant contributions to campus life at the University at Albany."

Honor ceremony will be April 2nd at 10AM at the Empire State Plaza
