  • Dane Pound changed the title to Game #19: 1/11/23 - 7PM vs Bryant

Surprised UA is still in the game, only down 8 at the half. Bryant shooting lights out. Normally I'd say that's a result of the continued defense this UA squad has shown all year, but they played some strong D in the last 6-8 minutes of the half. Beagle is still a monster.

UA still shorthanded, no update that I've heard in why Reddish is out. Edmead not back yet either. This team showing some life like they might be able to compete in the AE with a full squad.

Certainly looks that way at the start of this game. I missed the beginning, but I heard them mention no Reddish tonight?

What did you hear? Did you catch a reason? I missed first few minutes—stream issue. Also watching mute. Homers too much to take. Make Bryant out to be more than a relatively new D1. Interesting I watched UA vs Bryant in volleyball this fall Bryant announcers for Volleyball were very humble and acknowledged Bryant relative in-experience in D1. I guess BB guys didn’t get the message their successful sport’s history was pre-D1

Not sure what you are talking about...Bryant has been D1 now 15 years.  They are not relatively new and they basically have zero admission standards for the basketball team.  The team is INSANELY experienced.  They have won close to 30 conference titles prior to their AE move (the athletics department) at the D1 level.

Memphis, URI, La Salle, GW, Stony Brook/Bucknell (Latimer); St Francis, Hofstra, East Carolina, St Peters.

That's the bulk of their minutes...and the schools they used to play for prior to Bryant.  Bryant is a transfer merchant school.

Played better than I thought they would, especially considering 6 players player 99% of the minutes with Kellogg getting a few moments in the first half. Any idea why Ketner stopped getting any time at all? He seemed like he was starting to show some stuff then all of a sudden out of the rotation.

Not gonna win many games with 6 players.
