I think the crumb rubber may also be used on the turf field. It's almost like "dirt" that sit in the "grass"

But do they work that in after the turf is already down?

The new turf field requires an infill of a sand and rubber mixture.

Looks like they're adding the infill to the field turf this morning, as well as the ground cover on the northwest hillside

The sod on the endzone hill looks great.

 

It seems like a no-brainer but the fact that they put a sprinkler system in place just shows they're not shortcutting anything.

 

The little things make such a huge difference.

Up close that berm looks STEEP. Unsuitable, unlike University Field before the visiting bleachers were up,for little kids to ride their HotWheels down the hill to crash into the fence.

Is a video board/jumbo tron in the plan? If so Where ware they planning to put it?

Yes - a very large one in the south endzone (opposite the grass berm) - 21.5 feet tall by 38 feet wide.

Grass looks awesome. What are they doing with those extra retaining wall blocks? Will they be building up that

eastern side of the berm? Kinda looks like there's a retaining wall being put up along the sidewalk.
