Hard to tell in the dim light, but charcoal gray jersey AND pants? Real practical in hot sunshine.The closeup of the helmet looks too red and grape-y. The numbers won't be easily read from sixty or more yards away. Who designs this crap?

That's a better picture. I like this better than what they currently have as their main uniform. Just was hoping for more on the helmet.

So these uniforms against URI but nothing else confirmed. Maybe they'll wear them for the JMU game since they're also purple and gold

Kids love this stuff...and frankly, that's all that matters. Believe it or not...it helps in recruiting. I like the helmet and the shoes, I am not a huge fan of the dark grey.

My thoughts:

 

1) I like the overall look of the jersey.

2) Why doesn't the purple helmet match the purple on the jersey/pants? DUMB

3) I like the style of the jersey (meaning the way the shoulder color is divided, the stitching, etc.). They need to make this STYLE permanent to spruce up our regular jerseys. I don't like that 'line' (yellow, white, yellow) thing we have on the shoulder pads currently.

 

These look far more modern. A great first step.

Sorry but I disagree. The uniforms should be a reflection of the university and a PROMOTIONAL tool. In my opinion this uni does not do either of those things. Great that the "kids" love them; but if they are playing in front of small crowds than so what?

I like them but they would have been better with matte purple helmets or matte black with purple face masks.
