I like following the recruiting stuff but I don't know how much you can tell from it. It's encouraging to see other good school interested in your recruits but it's certainly not a guarantee.

The JUCO players seem hard to guage based on recruiting information online. There was practically no information about Gary Johnson when he came to Albany and he ended up starting and playing in two NCAAs. Ditto for Evan Singletary who seemed to come from nowhere (in terms of hype.)

Good luck to David and Joe at your new schools. Represent UA well and go and prove yourselves. We will root for you - at least until we play and beat you in March.

Hopefully Will Brown and staff can spin both of these grad transfers as a way to win recruiting battles for the good student athletes that might not play many minutes in a big conference right away, but have goals to play at that level. They can come here, play heavy minutes from day one and be a star in a mid-major conference. Work hard in school and then transfer to a national power for a grad year.

If that strategy can work, I bet that within a few recruiting cycles the team can be move it's quality of play higher and potentially become a place that those recruits want to stay.
