Now that the TD rumor is now official, what about the Teat rumor?  Does he wait to see if TD joins Big Red and stays due to increased possession or does he still not like the coach and is out of there?  If he comes to UA, there is your quarterback/ facilitator.  99 points past season, 62 were assists.

Lacrosse should get rid of face offs, too much influence on the game

I heard Marr say that on Wyland’s show...or at least that they should do away with faceoffs. On a totally unrelated subject, I’m currently in Prague and this evening saw a field full of girls playing lacrosse! Never knew they played it over here.

I promised myself that I would just move on but after reading this article I am more confused than ever. Ok, I promise the last time I think about it. Onward and upward!

Last spring, as the University at Albany men’s lacrosse team prepared for its NCAA tournament quarterfinal game against Maryland, TD Ierlan reflected on the path that led the faceoff specialist from Victor High School to UAlbany.

Only a small number of colleges, Ierlan said, made him a recruiting priority the way UAlbany did.

“They’re one of the few schools that really gave me a chance,” Ierlan said. “I’m just hoping to prove them right.”

Now, a little more than a year later, Ierlan has established himself as the top faceoff specialist in the country.

And, now, Ierlan will use his final two seasons of college eligibility for someone other than the Great Danes.

I still don't get why anyone would want to keep someone, no matter how good, if they don't want to be here.

I hope Marr, would at least try to force Cornell or Syracuse to come to Casey next year if he chooses either of those schools.

I don't want him here...he can bounce. What I'm against is an unconditional release where he will directly have a hand in making it harder for us to win games. I would have absolutely stuck to my guns, told him to get out but not allow him to transfer without penalty to Syracuse or Cornell. Or I'd drop from the schedule as a matter of principal anyone that he ends up with.

I agree, and the one condition should be the team he goes to has to return the home game to us. We will be on the road at Cornell next year and Cuse has flirted with coming to Casey. Other than that I'm glad he's gone.

wanted to wait until it was official, but a little bird led me to believe that he wanted to transfer out after last season, felt he didn't "fit in" with our group of guys but Marr asked TD to stay and if he still wanted to leave after this year then so be it....still sucks given the success this program is having....but as many have said...NEXT MAN UP

Major downer. As fans we get on athletes that decide to move on, but we forget that they are kids too and need to what's best for them. Especially in a non-revenue generating sport. He may have only had a partial scholarship and we denied him a full one. Do other schools offer cost of attendance stipend for LAX like in basketball/baseball?

I wish him well and all the success in the world. I'll still root for him if he changes his mind and stays.

I will also root for a few extra hard hits from his former teammates if he ends up playing against UA.

I am pissed about the non-restricted transfer.  This HAS to be Benson's influence.  Not happy at all.  Also pissed that he has no loyalty to the program, to Coach Marr and to his teammates.  This is outrageous!

Ierlan would reference Marr as a “second father.” On the night Ierlan won this year’s America East Defensive Player of the Year award, Ierlan voiced his appreciation for his coach in those terms.

“Coach Marr, as much as he impacts the lacrosse community and my lacrosse career, I think what he really affects is people off the field,” Ierlan said. “That’s way more.”

First off how is a FO defense?
