Ok I’m wrong on the unbalanced schedule. Still not comparable. Find me something more on a low major level. Where a whole community used to look forward to a game like this.

I'm guessing this just does not apply to basketball.  It would be every sport . Like football? Where they only play once a year ? I could give you several dozen if you want? Or are we shortening it to just basketball? Because a rival is a rival.

This is about the teams and their fans. Full stop.  Every rivalry such as this one, from low to high major, has a home-and-home...regardless the size of the arena.

Not going to has this out again...but giving Albany the "arena" for a game as a home game is horse$iena.  It's Siena's home court period.

You do realize that the revenue generated isn't enough to impact the economy...and goes STRAIGHT into the operating budget of the TUC.  The impact generated for the bars/restaurants could also be impactful for those up at the UA campus as well.

This "for the area" and "for the economic impact" is a non-sequitur if it isn't spread around.  There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO argument for having this game as anything other than a home and home.  Zero.

ZERO!!! Repeated for emphasis...

Again I said just location from the beginning and just location. Logistics on who is home and away, who can sell merch is all out the window. It’s where the game should be played.

I’m waiting for a similar comparison.
So I’ll wait

I'll turn it around on you. Give me any mid major that plays every game in the other person's home gym . I truly don't know the answer but I'll wait for that.  If you can give me that I'll listen for sure.

No offense but I provided facts.  They lost to a bunch of crappy teams this year.  A year which you proclaimed that "they're back" and we would be "gifting" them wins.

Have they won their conference back to back years? Do team's who win their conference have off days? They're back, I don't know what to tell you.

And make no mistake they accomplished the past two years what our goal is around here apparently. Everyone wasn't happy how we've showed up in the regular season. You can say it was recent post season issues, but we still have 3 tourney's over the past 10 years, same as Vermont. You want regular season play, you want what Siena is currently doing.

I am not doing your homework for you as usual...but I can fire-off five...without breaking a sweat...if we are limiting it to mid-major...what people call mid-major.  I'll start with 1...and help you out a bit:  The Big Five.

Every single one of those big 5 teams blow Albany and Siena out of the water in tradition and history. Not even comparable again. You are also talking about 5-6 teams. The capital region has 2 teams and I’m still waiting to hear what two low majors will bring in 10k plus fans into an arena for a game.

Their KenPom ranking was bottom half of D1 at 187 bottom half of all D1 and beat up on a $iena-stain of a conference losing to 218, 265, 249 and 250 and out in the first round of MAAC tourney to 182. Not sure how "back" they are and they just lost their best or second best player and remains to be seen if Pickett stays.

That program is a shell of the program when Fran was there, horrible coaching for a decade, hired a guy who took off in 1 year and now coach barely does two and is interviewing two times for the worst job in the A10. They will be back at the RACC by close of decade and satellite campus of UA in 15 years. That's a school going nowhere!

I love Will Brown and I'm 99% sure everyone on here knows that. I meant it more who'd I'd pick to go bar hopping with. Again, that doesn't matter at all because this administration decided to move on. What's done is done. I'll be rooting hard for him wherever he takes over.

If you go bar hopping with Patos; he will expect someone other than him to pay the tab....oh by the way....understand the underlying reasons for the coach change at UAlbany...both spoken and more importantly the unspoken....yes...we all welcome the new coach well and much success ...because his success becomes "our success"

No.

Iona won the last 5 years they had an ncaa tournament. Last year was cancelled before a championship was determined in that league

No chance they win the conference if Iona had played a full schedule.

When Fran was there they were completely overachieving for the MAAC. That's not their realistic positioning while still in the MAAC...their fans may think so...but ya know. MAAC and the AE are the same thing. If we won our league back to back years we wouldn't be nitpicking our ranking or who we lost to.

Fairfield plays in 10k seat arena. Who’s their rival? Quinnipiac? Hartford? Central CT? They definitely aren’t drawing 10k fans for any of those games.
